Second story: The Curse of the Yellow Claw

Third story: Desperate Measures - The X-Men have come to the aid of the Morlocks, who are under attack by rogue Sentinels. Wolverine and Beast find themselves separated from the rest of their team and in the company of five Morlocks (Marrow, Ape, Matchstick Girl, Poser and Carapace). The last had been severely wounded while saving the inexperienced Poser from a Sentinel's blast, and the group are now running for shelter in the tunnels beneath Manhattan. Another blast from a Sentinel forces them into a dead end and collapses rubble, sealing them inside. Beast takes the opportunity to perform surgery on Cara (Carapace), using Wolverine's claws as scalpels, while the impatient Marrow is asked by Beast to try to find a way out. Half an hour later, Beast has succeeded in saving Cara's life. Meanwhile, Marrow forces an excessive amount of bone growth which she uses to ram the rubble, clearing a way out. Both Wolverine and Marrow ponder the fact that their respective mutations, typically used for attack and defense, had just been used as life-saving tools. [Note: this story takes place soon after X-Men Vol. 2 #75.]

Eighth story: Hunger [reprinted from digital comic] After escaping the Weapon X facility where his bones had been laced with adamantium, Logan wanders the Canadian landscape, maddened by pain and hunger. He comes across a cabin where a young family lives. Before he makes a decision to accost them for food or to leave, he sees they are being approached by a pack of ravenous wolves. He leaps into the pack, slashing at them with his claws. After a bloody struggle, the pack runs off, leaving Logan face to face with the young couple and their two small children. Wielding an axe, the father prepares to defend his family against this savage stranger, but Logan turns and walks away. [Note: this story takes place soon after the Weapon X story arc in Marvel Comics Presents.]
